Our environmental standards

Environmental protection is a very important issue to Bock! Yet before introduction of various environmental certifications we have tried to find ways within our production process to preserve our environment — far in excess of legal requirements!

Sensible handling of resources

We have reduced consumption of water in our production by 60 % during the last three years, by investing in modern re-cooling technologies. Electricity consumption is limited to the necessary minimum by using latest technologies.

Our sprinkler system is now fed by a natural water reservoir, after having conditioned the small lake which has always existed on our ground, without interfering in the ecosystem — the fish living in there prove it! Consequently, there is no need to use drinking water.

Our offices are heated by using heat pumps. Manufacturing and production sites are heated by the exhaust air of our machines.

Compliance with emission limit values

All legal requirements as well as the guidelines of the local authorities concerning sound insulation (noise pollution), odour and exhaust air pollution have not only been kept and regularly checked, but even surpassed! Same applies for our water disposal.

The noise level in our open-plan offices, which we have installed with respect to unlimited communication, has been reduced by sound insulation measures in order to optimize work conditions.

Ventilation and exhaust systems clean and filter the air in our production area, before it is circulated via modern heat exchanging systems and then used again for heating.

Recycling of all materials in use

With our own recycling and conditioning systems we process our sprue and scrap into new raw materials, (aluminium and plastic granulates) which we use again to produce certain components.

Moreover we take care to avoid waste by separating waste materials like cardboard and plastic packing materials according to their singular types.

Sensible and economical use of consumables

For the daily transport between our various production sites we have invested in reusable transport containers and packing materials (e. g. lining materials for wire mesh boxes which can be used several times).
Efficient packing of parts assures that packing volumes are fully maxed out. Moreover, throughout Europe, we focus on reusable packing.
In order to reduce CO₂ emission we have furthermore updated our truck fleet.
